Acknowledgement

Remus Way Children’s Centre acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the many Lands across Australia.

We acknowledge the contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, in particular to the education of young children, and recognise their existence long before our story began.

Our vision for Reconciliation

Our vision at Remus Way Children's Centre is for a community where:

-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ cultures are valued, respected and affirmed across all areas of society and within our Centre community.

-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ rights are recognised and protected under Australian Law and within our centre community.

-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and all children, have equal and equitable opportunities to exercise choices about the way in which they lead meaningful, healthy lives, including those which sustain their cultures.

-We embrace Elders past, present and future for the wisdom and knowledge they hold and share, and are committed to supporting emerging leaders in local communities.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan

Remus Way Children’s Centres first Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) was proudly launched in February 2020.

The launch of the Innovate RAP signifies a significant milestone in recognising the organisation's commitment to promoting positive change for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
