Funded Kinder

Remus Way offers a Victorian Government Funded 3 & 4 year-old integrated kindergarten program with a qualified kindergarten teacher who will plan and implement a challenging educational program aimed at fostering the development of each child based on their individual needs and interests.

The program will also extend into topics of social value including road safety, healthy eating, sun smart, dental health, people in the community etc. It is also our aim to build an interest in literacy and maths and to prepare our 4-year-olds for the transition to school.

Our aim is to ensure that each and every child that graduates from our Kindergarten/Preschool Program is fully prepared for their next educational step.

School-readiness is a major focus of the kinder program and children are given opportunities to develop skills and understandings to ensure a smooth transition to school.

Teachers and families work together to achieve the best outcome for each child and to ensure a positive transition from kinder to school. At the end of the kinder year educators complete an assessment on each child called a ‘Transition statement’. This document is used as a communication tool between the kinder teacher, family and prep teacher.
